Visitor Information
NOTE TO RETURNING VISITORS: To those who have visited us before, please be aware that Lobby 101 is CLOSED to visitors since December 31, 2010. You must check-in at Building/Lobby 350. The parking lot in front of building 101 is also closed.
NCAM is located in New Orleans East on the NASA Michoud Assembly Facility (MAF). To visit NCAM you MUST have a visitor's badge. NCAM will obtain your badge from NASA for you. Therefore, you must contact NCAM in advance of your visit. Upon your arrival, have your valid driver's license ready to show the receptionist to pick up your visitor's badge. (Foreign nationals will be required to show two forms of valid government ID.) All visitors MUST contact NCAM prior to their visit to obtain a visitor’s badge and parking instructions and must arrive prior to 4 p.m. Upon arrival, you must show a valid driver's license or other government ID to obtain a badge.
| From Armstrong International Airport: |
- Leaving airport, take Airport Access Road to I-10 East.
- Take I-10 east seven miles to I-610 split.
- Go 12.7 miles on I-610, which later merges with I-10 again, to I-510 (Exit 246A).
- Refer to last section of directions below to get to Michoud Assembly Facility.

| From downtown New Orleans or the French Quarter: |
- Drive away from the Mississippi River on Canal Street to I-10 overpass at Claiborne Avenue.
- Right on Claiborne and drive seven blocks to I-10 entrance ramp.
- Take I-10 east for approximately nine miles to I-510 (Exit 246A).
- Refer to last section of directions below to get to Michoud Assembly Facility.

| From Slidell, Louisiana or points east: |
- At Slidell, proceed on I-10 west across Lake Pontchartrain.
- After crossing the lake, go approximately eight miles to I-510 (Exit 246A).
- Refer to last section of directions below to get to Michoud Assembly Facility.

| To reach NCAM from I-510 (Exit 246A): |
- From the intersection of I-10 and I-510, take I-510 South and continue.
- Take the "Almonaster Blvd to Old Gentilly Rd" exit (Exit 2C).
- Immediately get in the left lane, which curves toward the Stop sign.
- TURN LEFT at the STOP SIGN onto the Divided Highway and cross over I-510. (NASA is about 1½ mile ahead on your right.)
- Cross through the traffic light at Old Gentilly Road and Michoud Blvd., passing Gate #5.
- Enter the visitor parking lot on your right marked "Bldg 350 / Visitors’ Parking".
- Check in with the receptionist in Lobby 350 to obtain a visitor's badge.
- Per prior arrangements with NCAM, you will either:
- Wait in the lobby until a representative from NCAM arrives to escort you, or
- Return to your car; exit the parking lot by turning right onto Old Gentilly Road; proceed through Gate 7 with your window rolled down and show your badge and driver's license to the guard; upon the guard’s approval, drive to and park at Building 420. NCAM offices are located on the second floor.
