Consortium Universities Meet for Project Review at NCAM

Representatives from the NCAM Consortium Universities met in New Orleans recently to share information about their research projects.
Researchers who attended were David Taylor of Louisiana State, Charles Pittman, Richard Patton, Judy Schneider of Mississippi State, John Whitcomb, Vikram Kinra of Texas A&M, Romesh C. Batra, Dwight Viehland, Bob Sturges of Virginia Tech, John Peddieson, Ken Currie, Chris Wilson of Tennessee Tech, Paul Schilling, Melody Verges, David Hui of University of New Orleans, Bruce Brailsford, Ray Kuchler, and Sal Guccione of NCAM. They were joined by John Vickers and Wendell Colberg of NASA.
The University of New Orleans (UNO) leads a consortium of seven universities where research in conducted. Research focuses on aerospace materials with an initial focus on the applicability of composite and metallic materials to advanced manufacturing processes.
UNO and the partner schools share resources and collaborate on various research initiatives which are applicable to future space flight.
