Groundbreaking for $40 Million Administration Building Held at Michoud Assembly Facility

 
   

Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco, along with other top state officials and officials from NASA, broke ground Tuesday December 18 on a multi-million dollar development at NASA’s Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans.

Among those attending the Ceremony from NCAM-LP were Bruce Brailsford, Executive Director, and Raphael Kuchler, Deputy Director. From the University of New Orleans were Chancellor Tim Ryan and Russell Trahan, Dean of the College of Engineering. Also attending, from NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center was John Vickers, Project Manager of NCAM.

The Michoud Assembly Facility R&D Administration Building will be used collaboratively for research and development administration, education, training, and related matters at Michoud Assembly Facility involving NASA, the Marshall Space Flight Center , the State of Louisiana Department of Economic Development, and the University of New Orleans Research and Technology Foundation. The Foundation also administers NCAM under a collaborative agreement between all the parties and UNO.
